Captain Keven Mace joined WFE in late 2018 and is WFE’s most experienced instructor. He gained his private pilot’s licence in 1960 on Tiger Moth biplanes, flew in the Royal Air Force as an air combat instructor pilot on supersonic fighter jets – English Electric Lightnings and McDonnel Douglas F4 Phantoms–for 20 years, next trained the Qatar Emiri Air Force pilots to fly Mirage fighter jets. In 1987,then with a family of 2 children, he transferred to commercial flying. Holding an Airline Transport Pilot’s Licence, Keven flew as an instructor and examiner captain on 4-jet transport airliners for 21 years, then managed and captained a corporate Learjet 45 until May 2018. Keven celebrates his 50th wedding anniversary with his wife Pauline in 2019.They have 6 grandchildren and Keven’s son, also a commercial pilot, flies for Jet 2 airline.
